I really tried.
I've typed and deleted, retyped and deleted again. I guess thats why I do what I do, photographs tell the story when I cant find the words, and I often cannot find the words. So here are the bare bones.
I met Christopher several years ago through mutual friends. He is this strange and wonderful combination of what should be a total contradiction, but somehow isn't at all. It came as no surprise when I learned he had fallen in love with a girl from Australia and intended on marrying her.
I met Christina 4 days before she became Mrs. Haley. In those 4 days, I can say with certainty, she is the best possible partner for Christopher. Ya know, one of those where you cant possibly imagine what kind of person your friend will end up with because their equal couldn't possibly exist ... until you meet that person and they are every bit of everything you hoped for (even if you didn't know what you were hoping for.)
They got married on The Feast of St. Augustine. It was the real deal. This wasn't just an event to invite friends and family to, it was something sacred and holy. There are not enough words, but there is a whole lot of gratitude for being able to witness their union and document their day.
Just something to note - every detail of this wedding was the outcome of collective hands from one hell of a community. Her dress was designed and made by her sister, Esther (what-the-what ... you'll understand when you see the dress). The invitations, programs, signage was all done by her other sister, Rebecca (you can't wish your way into this kind of awesome). Steve did the hair, Emma did all the floral arrangements, and Felicity baked the cake. I'm telling you - it was the (non-vendor) vendor dream team.
I am beyond honored to know Christopher and Christina. I am beyond honored to tell their story through photographs. I am beyond, beyond, beyond honored.
